CONFLICT: GLOBAL TERROR for the PS2 is the fourth installment of 2K Games’ CONFLICT tactical shooter series. Set in the near future, Global Terror pits players against a new enemy intent on destroying Democracy across the world. The world is being threatened by a new terrorist group called March 33. Using Colombian drug money and intent on establishing a new world order, these terrorists draw on the ODESSA Nazi party and is made up of many of their descendants. Opposing them is the rapid response counter terrorist unit from CONFLICT: Desert Storm. Players once again take on the roles of Bradley, Jones, Connors, and Foley, the heroes of Desert Storm. Betrayed by an informer, the unit must escape as surprise attack that leaves Foley missing. Now the unit has to both take down March 33 and rescue one of their own while wondering if they can trust new member sniper Carrie Sherman. Players have a variety of options in Global Terror. As before, they can choose to complete missions in several different ways. Infiltrating an enemy base, for example, can be done by stealth or by taking out a number of guards, depending on the player’s preference. Gamers can also switch between squad members at any time, allowing them to make full use of each member’s special abilities and weapons. CONFLICT fans will find this fourth installment just as fresh as the first, and newcomers will be able to jump right in to the futuristic world of CONFLICT: GLOBAL TERROR.
